Plein Air Art Contest

The Tooele City Arts Council invites all artists to participate in the Annual Tooele Plein Air Art Contest. Registration is (2025 INFORMATION COMING SOON)

This is a great opportunity for artists to draw or paint the Tooele County area, sell their work to the public during the Tooele Arts Festival, and compete for cash prizes. “Each artist may enter up to two pieces, but can get more canvases stamped at registration.

It is required that the Art must be done in Tooele County. Examples of art: Landscape, Still Life, Portrait, Wildlife, etc.

Experienced Artist Experienced Artist might be someone who has an art education, teaches art classes, sells their artwork, displays their work in a gallery, or has been using the medium for several years.

Amateur Artist Amateur Artist might be someone who is just starting into the medium, either by taking lessons or self-teaching

“Plein Air” means “in the open air” and artists are encouraged to do just that, get out of the studio and create some beautiful artwork of Tooele County.
